I created Saltbox Static Therapy Haus: The Rooms as a place where I could put all the noise in my head somewhere.
Every room represents a different part of me my thoughts, my anxiety, my memories, my chaos, my comfort and the things I don't always know how to explain.
I imagined the Haus as an old Newfoundland saltbox house, filled with static, strange sounds, nostalgia and pieces of my own life.
The Foyer is where I walk in and the signal begins. The Kitchen feels familiar and chaotic. The Living Room is full of nostalgia. The Bedroom is where the thoughts get loudest. The Bathroom is where I have to face myself. The Basement holds the darker stuff I usually keep buried. The Attic is where old memories collect. The Hallway is everything in between and then there's the Porch. That's where I can finally breathe.
This project isn't me pretending I have everything figured out. It's me turning the things I struggle with into something I can hear, create, dance to and share.
Every room has its own frequency.
Every song is a piece of the story.
And somehow, somewhere inside all that static, I found my own way of healing.
Welcome to my Haus.
